Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in programs, purchasing tickets, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.


1. Enrollment & Registration

  • Students must meet program eligibility requirements (typically age 17+ unless otherwise specified).

  • Registration is complete only upon receipt of payment or approved scholarship.

  • Spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Non-Degree Granting Status: The Conservatory at NYPAA is a not-for-profit training institution and does not confer academic degrees. Credentials issued, including Diplomas (1-Year) and Certificates (2-Year), are awarded solely in recognition of successful completion of conservatory training programs. These credentials are professional in nature and are not equivalent to an academic degree or state-licensed certification.


2. Payments & Fees

  • All payments are processed through Stripe/WooCommerce.

  • Tuition, workshop fees, and deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Scholarship recipients are responsible for any required administrative fees.

  • Students are responsible for all bank charges, currency conversion fees, or other third-party transaction costs.


3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Student-initiated cancellations are non-refundable and may be considered for partial credit only at the discretion of The Conservatory at NYPAA.

  • In the event The Conservatory at NYPAA cancels a program or event, a refund or credit will be issued.

  • Guest faculty are active industry professionals. If a scheduled instructor becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to provide a replacement of comparable caliber. No refunds will be issued for such substitutions.


4. Code of Conduct

  • Students are expected to maintain professionalism, respect faculty, peers, and staff, and follow academy policies at all times.

  • Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Violation of conduct policies may result in dismissal without refund.


5. Intellectual Property & Content Protection

  • All content on this site, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, videos, audio, logos, and program materials, is the exclusive property of The Conservatory at NYPAA and The MusicSquared Foundation, Inc., unless otherwise credited. Content is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

  • You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access and view the content for personal, non-commercial use only.

  • Any reproduction, downloading, screenshotting, photographing, copying, or distribution of content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

  • We actively monitor misuse of our intellectual property and reserve the right to pursue all remedies available under applicable law, including but not limited to:

    • Statutory damages under U.S. copyright law of up to $150,000 per work infringed in cases of willful violation;

    • Actual damages and attorneys’ fees where applicable; and

    • Injunctive relief to immediately halt unauthorized use.

  • By using this site, you acknowledge and agree that unauthorized use of our content constitutes infringement and may result in significant financial liability, including statutory damages, court costs, and legal fees.


6. Liability Waiver

  • Participation in performing arts training involves physical activity and inherent risks. By enrolling, you voluntarily assume all such risks.

  • The Conservatory at NYPAA and The MusicSquared Foundation are not liable for injuries, lost property, or other damages incurred during participation.

  • Students are encouraged to obtain personal health and accident insurance coverage.


7. Website Use

  • You may not misuse our website for unlawful purposes, including attempting to breach security or disrupt services.

  • Content on our site may not be copied, distributed, or modified without authorization.


8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
