Scholarships & Financing
At The Conservatory at NYPAA, we are committed to making world-class training in the performing arts accessible to talented artists from all backgrounds. Our scholarships are awarded by The Conservatory Scholarship Committee upon admission and are based on a combination of artistic merit and demonstrated financial need.
The Scholarship Committee includes members of the Admissions and Enrollment team, senior administrators, and artistic directors from each Conservatory discipline. While we cannot meet the full need of every applicant, we make every effort to assist as many students as possible in pursuing their training at The Conservatory.
Merit-Based Scholarships
Because all of our Conservatory programs are structured as scholarship programs, there is no separate application process for merit awards. Every applicant is automatically considered for a merit-based scholarship during the enrollment and audition process. Awards are determined by artistic ability, audition/portfolio review, and commitment to the craft.
Need-Based Scholarships
The Conservatory also offers limited need-based scholarships, capped at $1,000. These awards are only available to students who provide proof of current public assistance. This ensures that additional support is directed toward those with the highest financial need.
Commitment to Access
Scholarship decisions are competitive and vary by applicant; award amounts cannot be guaranteed in advance. Students who receive a scholarship can expect their award to continue for the full length of their program, provided they maintain satisfactory participation and professional conduct.
In addition to scholarships, we also provide flexible tuition financing options. If an applicant is denied financing through Affirm, The Conservatory offers in-house payment plans with proof of denial, reinforcing our mission to keep training opportunities open to every qualified artist.
